Your privacy matters deeply to us. Wade is built to help you grow — not to harvest your data. This policy explains clearly and simply what information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have. We do not sell your personal data. We never will.

Wade is a mobile and web wellness application developed and operated by Purpose Made Simple Consults, based in Abuja, Nigeria.

3. How We Use Your Information

We do not use your information for advertising. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party.

4. Data Storage & Security

Local storage: Your journal entries, mood history, saved affirmations, streaks, and personal preferences are stored locally on your device using browser localStorage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to share it.

Account data: Your name and email address are securely stored by our payment processor Paystack to manage your subscription. Paystack complies with PCI DSS security standards.

Security measures: We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information. All data transmitted between the Wade app and third-party services is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.

Retention: We retain your account information for as long as your subscription is active. If you cancel and request deletion, we will remove your data within 30 days.

Wade is designed for adults aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions where that applies). If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@wadeapp.com.ng and we will promptly delete it.

8. Subscriptions & Billing

Wade offers a 7-day free trial followed by a paid subscription (₦1,500/month or ₦16,000/year). Billing is handled exclusively by Paystack. Your card details are stored securely by Paystack — Wade never has access to your full card information.

You may cancel your subscription at any time by visiting your Paystack subscription portal at paystack.com/manage or by emailing us at support@wadeapp.com.ng.

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods unless required by applicable law.

Wade provides general wellness, mindfulness, and personal development content for informational and motivational purposes only. The content within Wade — including affirmations, meditations, visualizations, and coaching frameworks — is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, psychiatric, or therapeutic advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or require professional support, please consult a qualified healthcare provider.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will notify you via the app or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

Continued use of Wade after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.

11. Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, including the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR) issued by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA). Any disputes arising under this policy shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Nigerian courts.
